At about 17:00 pm on March 15, a forest fire broke out in Baizi Village, Xiala Town, Yajiang County, Ganzi Prefecture, Sichuan Province. At 14:30 pm on 16th, the fire rekindled and spread rapidly due to strong winds on the east side of the fire. Local emergency response was in place, and firefighters were doing their best to put out the fire.
CR C'estbon has been closely following the development of the disaster. After receiving the disaster relief application from local employees in Sichuan, it quickly launched the "Disaster Relief Public Quick Response Mechanism", urgently contacted relevant government departments and the Sichuan Charity Federation, and worked with local and nearby distributors and wholesalers to urgently allocate 24,000 bottles of disaster relief water, placed the relief supplies at the designated receiving location as quickly as possible, and delivered safe drinking water to the front-line disaster relief personnel.
Because the fire was too fierce, the local dealer warehouse was also affected by the wildfire. C'estbon volunteers quickly contacted distributors and wholesalers in surrounding counties and towns, and deployed relief supplies nearby to respond to the disaster area as quickly as possible. In line with the principle of "Not Causing Trouble to the Disaster Area and Not Causing Trouble to the Rescue", the volunteers also maintained close communication with local government departments. After obtaining a rescue vehicle pass, C'estbon volunteers drove a truck full of love and rushed to Yajiang on the winding mountain road without street lights.
At 3:50 am on 17th, the volunteers finally arrived in Yajiang County after about 4 hours' ride. Under the guidance of local government staff, they safely delivered the supplies to the resettlement site, unloaded the relief water one by one under the lights of their cars, and then returned in the dark.
CR C'estbon will keep paying attention to the Yajiang fire situation and do our best to provide drinking water for disaster relief.
