China Resources Beverage (Holdings) Company Limited ("CR Beverage" or the "Company") places employee health and safety management as a top priority, and is committed to minimizing occupational health and safety risks in its operations and ensuring the occupational health and safety of its employees.
1 Purpose
This Policy aims to establish a sound occupational health and safety management system and systematically conduct risk assessments, preventive measures and continuous improvement, thus protecting the health and safety of every employee and creating a healthy and safe work environment.
2 Scope of Application
This Policy applies to CR Beverage and its subordinate entities at all levels. All business partners, including cooperative partners, contractors and suppliers, are encouraged to comply with this Policy.
3 Laws, Regulations and Internal Systems
CR Beverage complies with laws, regulations and industry standards relating to occupational health and safety in the regions where it operates, including but not limited to the Work Safety Law of the PRC, the Law of the PRC on the Prevention and Control of Occupational Diseases and the Fire Protection Law of the PRC. In the meantime, the Company has formulated a number of internal policies, such as the CR C'estbon Quality, Environmental, Health and Safety Management System, to ensure the safety and health of all stakeholders in the production process and to prevent and reduce work safety incidents.
4 Policy Content
4.1 Management Structure and Responsibilities
The headquarters of the Company has established a QEHS Committee as the main body for occupational health and safety management, which is responsible for updating and approving occupational health and safety management systems of the Company and provides training, guidance, supervision and evaluation of the implementation of occupational health management at all entities. The QEHS Committee sets up a QEHS Office, which is responsible for ensuring the compliant implementation of occupational disease prevention and control measures and the inspection of industrial hygiene across departments. Grassroots organizations shall implement the occupational health and safety management according to the requirements of higher-level organizations, define the work responsibilities and requirements of personnel at all levels in respect of occupational health and safety management, and establish employee occupational health records and organize regular employee health examinations.
4.2 Health and Safety Management Measures
· The Company establishes and improves its occupational health and safety management systems with reference to ISO 45001 and other international standards, and identify, assess and manage occupational health and safety risks and hazards in the course of business operations, with regular reviews and monitoring;
· The Company actively promotes health and safety management system certification to achieve standardized and regulated occupational health management;
· The Company sets key performance indicators for health and safety work as well as quantitative targets to enhance occupational health and safety performance, so as to effectively reduce work safety incident rates and continuously monitor and improve its health and safety performance;
· The Company provides a safe and healthy work environment and protection, actively prevent work-related accidents or diseases, and avoid occupational disease hazards. The Company conduct regular occupational health and safety inspections, and take necessary hygiene measures to prevent chemical, gas, high temperature and noise impacts on employee health. The Company carry out regular mental health examinations for employees to ensure their physical and mental health and safety.
4.3 Emergency Response Management
· The Company standardizes emergency rescue management to handle work safety incidents, emergencies and occupational disease hazards swiftly and effectively. The Company improve its emergency plan system to enhance the scientific, targeted and practical aspects of emergency plans and improve its risk response and accident prevention capabilities;
· The Company actively organizes and conducts emergency drills for incidents of fire, falls from heights, electric shock, extreme weather and special periods, to control and reduce accidents to the greatest extent.
4.4 Health and Safety Training and Publicity
· The Company actively carries out occupational health and safety promotion activities for its employees, contractors and other stakeholders, and distribute the promotion brochures of the Law of the PRC on the Prevention and Control of Occupational Diseases to raise health and safety awareness and legal understanding for the employees, thereby minimizing health and safety incidents;
· The Company regularly conducts occupational health and safety warning education and training for its employees and contractors, to continuously improve their safety awareness and prevent safety accidents.
5 Revision and Review
The Company will regularly review this Policy and make appropriate revisions when necessary.
